MUSÉE DU FORT SAINT-JEAN
The proposed experience
The Musée du Fort Saint-Jean, located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, is a history museum on the site of the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, on the banks of the Richelieu River. Recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada, the fort occupies a strategic position that has played a key role in the defense of the territory since its founding in 1666. The museum showcases over three centuries of continuous military occupation and traces the various periods that have marked the site, from the Aboriginal presence to the French and British regimes, the American invasion of 1775 and the evolution of the Canadian armed forces.
